SUMMARY:Assessment Redesign Sprint: Artificial Intelligence
DESCRIPTION:We are offering two Assessment Redesign Sprints in May/June.
This registration page is for the Artificial Intelligence Sprint. If you
are interested in the Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning
Sprint\, please visit the Accessibility and UDL registration page.\n\n
\n\nAs AI tools become increasingly capable of completing traditional
assignments\, many of us are still figuring out what that means for our
courses. This workshop offers dedicated time\, practical tools\, and the
support of colleagues to take a closer look at one of your existing
assessments and begin reimagining it with AI in mind. \n\nDuring the
 workshop\, you'll critically examine an assessment you're already using\,
identify where AI poses the greatest challenges or opportunities\, and
consider thoughtful ways to redesign your assessment so it reflects the
realities of how students are learning and completing assessments. With an
emphasis on collaborative problem solving\, you'll also think through what
meaningful AI use looks like in your discipline\, how feedback and grading
practices might shift\, and how to set clear\, transparent expectations
with your students around AI use. \n\nAbout Assessment Design
Sprints\n\nThese sessions offer instructors concentrated time to rethink
the design of their assessments in relation to a specific area of focus.
While the session will be guided by principles of learning-centered
assessment design\, we will not be focusing on foundational assessment
design principles during the workshop. The session is structured to balance
facilitated discussions with hands-on assignment design time and
collaborative problem solving. \n\nNote: If you have a @guelphhumber.ca
email address and are unable to register\, please contact the Office of
Teaching and Learning (otl@uoguelph.ca) with the name of the program
you’d like to register for\, and we will complete the registration on
 your behalf.
