Coffee and Conversations for Teaching-Focused Faculty
Teaching-focused faculty, defined by a distribution of effort (DOE) in which the majority is dedicated to teaching, are a growing and essential part of our academic community, advancing student learning, curriculum innovation, and pedagogical leadership. Yet opportunities to connect with peers in similar roles can be limited.
Coffee and Connections offers a monthly, collegial space to share ideas, discuss challenges, and explore evidence-informed teaching practices. Sessions will foster dialogue on inclusive pedagogy, assessment, student engagement, and strategies for documenting teaching impact, while building cross-disciplinary connections.
Co-facilitated by Dr. Stephen Mattucci and Dr. Laura MacDiarmid, two members of the Teaching and Learning Network, this group supports teaching-focused faculty in strengthening their practice and building a professional community.
Come connect, share, and learn from one another.
Who should join: Faculty whose primary role or majority DOE (40%+) is dedicated to teaching across any campus.
