Join us for an enriching workshop designed to help educators navigate classroom conflicts with professionalism, empathy, and confidence. Together, we’ll explore strategies for fostering safe and inclusive learning environments that enhance student engagement and belonging. We will discuss effective approaches to addressing and managing conflicts that may arise in the classroom in ways that build trust and understanding. The session will also introduce decolonial and relational teaching approaches that support the creation of learning environments where every student feels valued.  

Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to: 

• Recognize common sources of conflict in the classroom 
• Identify inclusive and relational strategies and resources to address conflicts with professionalism and empathy 
• Define key dimensions of diversity and inclusivity and identify principles of inclusive and decolonial approaches to teaching and learning 
• Discuss bias from multiple perspectives and the impacts on classroom interactions and student experiences
