Effective and Efficient Grading Practices Online
Grading is more than assigning marks: It shapes how students engage with learning. This interactive workshop introduces core principles and practical strategies to help you grade in ways that are fair, consistent, and manageable. Together, we’ll explore tools and approaches that support efficient and effective grading, and you’ll leave with at least one strategy to implement in your grading.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Explain how grading fits within the larger topic of assessment and how it influences student learning and motivation.
- Apply practical strategies and educational technology tools to manage your grading workload and make grading transparent, fair, and consistent.
- Select at least one strategy to apply or refine in your grading this term.
